Maxthon is one that I haven't tried in years and I remember really liking it for a while, might have to give it another try especially since it has probably evolved thru several versions. Acadia

Acadia It has evolved. It's now on version 2 but I still like 1.65 best. They messed up the tabs auto-hide which just happens to be my favorite feature. It continues to gain popularity. More than 300 million people have gotten it. Although it uses the same rendering engine as IE, it does not have the same vulnerabilities. You know me though, when I find something I like I just keep using it until there's a reason for changing. I don't try new stuff just because it's new.

Manny, besides the tabs auto-hide, do you have any other favorite features? Started doing some reading, looks like the version that you like is also much more stable that the newer version. Acadia

Manny ... but the point will still remain, that there's no magic silver bullet browser out there to kill the internet werewolves. Naah... say it ain't so!

Acadia Manny, besides the tabs auto-hide, do you have any other favorite features? Started doing some reading, looks like the version that you like is also much more stable that the newer version. Acadia I've tried both and found them equally stable. I happen to like tabs on the bottom which are always visible and the ability to maximimize space by auto-hiding the top menus. That gives you lots of space with the menus easily accessible. The other things I like is the ability to use mouse gestures to do a variety of things like easily open a link in a new tab. I like the filters and the one click ability to toggle them. I like the little notepad thingie where you can keep notes and the one click access. I like the favorites bar where I can put any site I want and organize it in the way that makes sense to me and then have one click access to the sites I visit often. There's lots of other things but the tabs is what got me originally and I just kept going with it. I'm sure other browsers can do the similar things. Speed differences are neglible to me for all browsers so that's not a deciding point unless it's something like 10 times better. I guess it just fits the way I think so I keep using the version I like. There are tons of plugins but I don't much bother with those either. They are working on version 3 but thus far 1.65 is what I use. It's like an old shoe I suppose - comfortable.

I thought I'd try it again but I must have missed some setting because I can't use it when I'm doing my grocery shopping. I shop put the things in my basket but then when clicking on checkout it moves to the next page but empties my basket and tells me I haven't got anything in it so don't need to go to checkout. I've gone back to IE8 again as I know that works, I can't go without my weekly online grocery shopping and didn't have time to try and find out what went wrong.
