How to temporarily turn off User Account Control in Vista - Tuesday, April 29, 2008 7:49 PM ( #1 )
This is how you can temporarily turn off User Account Control in Vista:

Go to Start.
Click on your Profile picture.
Click the link to turn User Account Control On or Off.
Uncheck the box to use User Account Control.

Reboot your machine.

Do whatever procedure you wanted to do that you were unable to do.

Go back and turn User Account Control back on.  This is important, as it provides a more secure mode for surfing the web.
